As we move out of winter and into early spring, wasps begin to emerge as temperatures rise. While rodents like rats and mice remain active indoors throughout the colder months, wasps start to become more noticeable as queen wasps come out of hibernation and look for suitable nesting sites. During this time, you may spot early signs of wasp activity in loft spaces, sheds, or wall cavities, where they begin constructing their nests.

To reduce the risk of infestations, inspect your home for any entry points, particularly around roofing, eaves, and vents, and seal any gaps where wasps might build nests. Store food and waste in secure containers, as wasps are attracted to sugary substances.
